Every x86 server turned down is good for more than $400 per year in savings and it’s only going to get worse. Hard to believe many data centers aren’t pushing to make this happen. What would you do with an extra $400?
I see that Cisco has put a hardened router into orbit. I can just see the call out bill on this one when a buggy IOS release leaves it sucking sod.
